I put the CD in and nothing happens?

The software is installed but I cannot connect get a connection?

I put the CD in and nothing happens?

Remember that the CD is only for PCs with Windows 95, 98, NT or 2000 operating systems, not Macs at present.  Also, some PCs do not run the CD automatically, in that case the program can be run manually as follows:

  • Click on START and select RUN...
  • Type D:\HealthNet.exe   (replace "D" with your CD drive letter if different)

If you still experience problems:

  • Click on START and select RUN...
  • Type D:\PC\Main.exe   (replace "D" with your CD drive letter if different)

Every time I connect to the HealthNet web site, I get the registration page?

HealthNet uses a "cookie" on your computer to jump past this page if you have registered.  To ensure that this works make sure cookies are enabled by setting your Internet Options, Security setting to "Medium". This is the default setting and is quite safe, as it always warns if pages have dangerous content.

You can then reset your HealthNet cookie by simply clicking on the "I have already registered" link at the top of the registration page

   

I want to configure my email and Internet Explorer settings on a second computer?

Go to "Member Services" , "User Admin", "Update Browser and Email settings". Then enter your username and password. Then choose from the options to restore your settings automatically.

Yes, the following numbers are at standard national call rates, not premium rates.

  • BTClick on 0870-600-2549 - For problems with your connection to the Internet.
  • HealthNet Technical support on 0870 870 8795 - For problems with your email, member services or anything else. (open 9am to 5pm weekdays)

 

How do I uninstall HealthNet software from my machine?

HealthNet uses completely standard Microsoft Internet Explorer software, we do not recommend that you remove this from your computer as it is used by other programs, however you may want to change the settings as follows:

 

I want to change my Internet Service Provider (ISP) but continue to use HealthNet's Member services?

No problem, your account login details will still be valid within HealthNet's member services.   If you use an email address provided by HealthNet then you will have to change your email account's outgoing "SMTP" mail server setting as described in our Email FAQ here
